Grimmond eventually departed for 91 with victory almost secured. Matthews remained unbeaten until the end, finishing with a magnificent 159 from just 123 deliveries.
Her innings featured powerful stroke play, excellent placement, and complete control against both pace and spin. It became the second-highest individual ODI score by a West Indies Women batter, behind only Stafanie Taylor’s 171.
